Build an executable file without Microsoft Visual Studio from project file

Build an executable file without Microsoft Visual Studio from project file

To fix this issue I would suggest installing Visual Studio Community edition (free)
But, if you just want to build using msbuild through the commandline the simplest way would be (assuming you navigated to where msbuild is or have the env path set):
code :
msbuild "C:\Users\Something\Documents\Visual Studio 2015\Blah path\Hello.csproj"

I wish this helpful for you Apparently, this is by design in Visual Studio 2010:

where can I find a Visual studio 2008 project build file for MPFR? or how to create such build file myself?

wish of those help It seems the pre-compiled mpfr library binary by VC++2010 works for both VC++2008 and VC++2010 compliers; the precompiled mpfr library binaries can be found here( link from the original author is now dead; please use this link instead): mpfr_mpir_x86_x64_msvc2010.zip
(it seems the original author's website now works again: please visit here: Brian Gladman's guidelines on MPIR & MPFR installation for more detailed information.)

will be helpful for those in need I ended up retrieving the file path from a powershell script and placing it in a custom macro to hold the file path in the .csproj file. I just run the powershell script pre build and the exe post build using the build events command line. A terrible hack, to be revisited another time.

wish help you to fix your issue I got it working. For some reason, the WinSCP-net NuGet package wasn't being installed properly. I noticed that WinSCPnet was missing from the list of references in VS, but it's possible that something else failed during the install as well, and that was causing msbuild to want to kill the executable. I re-installed the WinSCP-net NuGet package (I'm pretty sure multiple times) and once I could see WinSCPnet in the list of references, this issue stopped happening.
