"php comment" within an echo statement

"php comment" within an echo statement

To fix this issue How can I handle comments in the middle of an echo command? , Its because it resolves to:
code :
echo "Print this " .  . " and this\n";
echo "Print this " echo " and this\n";

seems to work fine Those text are defined in a hook_link() function. To be able to change them, you'll need to use the hook_link_alter() function
If you're using Drupal 7, links can be modified in hook_node_view_alter().

I wish did fix the issue. Because echo is not a function. The docs clearly state this:
How do find "echo" statement without the switch -e and replace "echo -e" in Unix

seems to work fine Initial Caveats
Note that the below won't behave well with sufficiently interesting/complicated syntax -- echos in command substitutions, for example; those in strings which are later evaled; compound commands; commands split from their arguments across multiple lines; etc. For that reason, I strongly suggest manually reviewing the changes and merging them by hand (with a tool such as git add -p should contents be in revision control, or vimdiff or similar in general).
code :
rewrite_echos() {
  has_echo_re='((^|;|&)[[:space:]]*)echo([[:space:]])(.*)$'
  has_echo_e_re='(^|;|&)[[:space:]]*echo[[:space:]]+-n?en?[[:space:]]+'

  while IFS= read -r line; do
    [[ $line =~ $has_echo_re ]] || { printf '%s\n' "$line"; continue; }
    prefix=${BASH_REMATCH[1]}; suffix_chr=${BASH_REMATCH[3]}; content=${BASH_REMATCH[4]}

    [[ $line =~ $has_echo_e_re ]] && { printf '%s\n' "$line"; continue; }
    [[ $content = *"\\"* ]] || { printf '%s\n' "$line"; continue; }
    printf '%secho -e%s\n' "$prefix" "${suffix_chr}${content}"
  done
}
rewrite_echos <test.txt
echo -e "\nHello\n\tWorld 1"
echo "OK"
echo -e "\nHello\nWorld 2"
echo "OK!OK!!"
echo -e "Hello\nWorld 3"
rewrite_echos() {
  has_echo_re='((^|;|&)[[:space:]]*)echo([[:space:]])(.*)$'

  while IFS= read -r line; do
    [[ $line =~ $has_echo_re ]] || { printf '%s\n' "$line"; continue; }
    prefix=${BASH_REMATCH[1]}; suffix_chr=${BASH_REMATCH[3]}; content=${BASH_REMATCH[4]}

    [[ $content = *"\\"* ]] || { printf '%s\n' "$line"; continue; }
    if [[ $content =~ ^-e[[:space:]] ]]; then
      printf $'%sprintf \'%%b \'%s && printf \'\\\\n\'\n' "$prefix" "${suffix_chr}${content#-e[[:space:]]}"
    else
      printf $'%sprintf \'%%b \'%s && printf \'\\\\n\'\n' "$prefix" "${suffix_chr}${content}"
    fi
  done
}

wish help you to fix your issue Somebody posted a different question with a solution involving buffer manipulation, here: How do I capture PHP output into a variable?
I just wanted to say that if they're custom functions, a bit of minor refactoring will probably serve you better, in the long run. Instead of:
code :
function foo() {
    echo 'blah';
}
function foo() {
    echo bar();
}

function bar() {
    return 'blah';
}
<?php
function myFunc( ...$params ) {
    $x = myFunc2( ...$params );
    if( $x !== false ) echo $x;
}
function foo( ...$params ) {
    $x = foo2( ...$params );
    if( $x !== false ) echo $x;
}

function myFunc2($echo) {
    //this js will print display the value of "myvar"
    $myvar = "<script type='text/javascript'>
                  var myvar= true;
                  document.write(myvar);
              </script>";
    //$myvar = "aDuck";
    if ($echo) {
        return $myvar;
    } else {
        return false;
    }
}
function foo2($echo) {
    if ($echo) {
        //this echoes "true", which is the value of js "myvar"
        return "true";
    } else {
        return false;
    }
}
if (myFunc2(true) == foo2(true)) {
    echo "<br> WOW! it works!";
}
?>
Why the if statement is executed in ` if [ ''=1 ] ; then echo "true"; else echo "false"; fi`?

Why the if statement is executed in ` if [ ''=1 ] ; then echo "true"; else echo "false"; fi`?

I hope this helps you . You need spaces
''=1 gets interpreted as a string =1 and test finds a non-empty string. If you want to compare '' to 1, write
code :
[ '' = 1 ]
