hope this fix your issue How I understood the problem
I don't know if I understood your question correctly.
code :
for (int i = 0; i < 6; i++) {
    if (data[i] == null || data[i].equals("")) {
        continue; // Skip if data is unusable

    final Row newRow = sheet.createRow(++rowCount); // Row indices are 0-based!
    final Cell cell = newRow.createCell(aColumnNumber); // Also column indices are 0-based!

To fix this issue It is a bit tricky to bind a runtime-variable number of items to a Grid. One option is to use an ItemsControl, with a Grid as the ItemsPanel.
You would have a 2-dimensional array in the view-model, with each cell containing its row and column numbers. Use the ItemContainerStyle to bind the container's Grid.Row and Grid.Column attached properties to the cell view-model properties.
code :
<ItemsControl ItemsSource="{Binding Cells}">
            <Grid />

        <Style TargetType="ContentPresenter">
            <Setter Property="Grid.Row" Value="{Binding RowNumber}" />
            <Setter Property="Grid.Column" Value="{Binding ColumnNumber}" />

            <Rectangle Fill="Black" />

            <Grid GridHelpers.RowCount="{Binding RowCount}"
                  GridHelpers.ColumnCount="{Binding ColumnCount}" />
                    <i:EventTrigger EventName="MouseDoubleClick">
                        <i:InvokeCommandAction Command="{Binding RectangleClickCommand}"
                                               CommandParameter="{Binding}" />
Creating a rectangle filled with triangles

To fix this issue I would do the following:
Define a 2D array for your points, 1D for each line where each entry contains a point for a vertice/corner. Create points based on a grid Offset the same points using some form of "jitter". The jitter will only offset the point's position but you will still have the same order in the array Have a method looping over the arrays drawing a quadrant for each two points on two lines Split that quadrant into two triangles using the two opposite corner vertices.
code :
line 0: xy xy xy xy xy .... vertices for upper part of quadrant
line 1: xy xy xy xy xy .... vertices for lower part and shared
                             upper part of next quadrant
line 2: xy xy xy xy xy ....
line 3: xy xy xy xy xy ....
line 0: xy_xy_xy xy xy ....
        | /| /| ...
line 1: xy xy xy xy xy ....

seems to work fine lukeA's answer is good if you can or want to rely on the auto-scaling. If you don't want to rely on the auto-scaling of the colors, you can also pass in a vector of colors to fill outside of aes that map to the points:
code :
ggplot() +
  geom_map(data = values, aes(map_id = id, fill = value), map =     positions) +
  expand_limits(positions) +
  coord_equal() +
  geom_point(data = points, aes(x=xpos, y=ypos), fill=I(c("red", "green")),
         shape = 21, colour = "black", size=5)

I wish this help you Your onEdit(e) will trigger the alert regardless of which cell is edited. You need to check the event range to limit it to cell A1 of Extract like this.
code :
function onEdit(e) {
  if( e.range.getSheet().getName() === "Extract" ) {
    if( e.range.getA1Notation() === "A1" ) {
      if( e.value !== "" ) {
        var ui = SpreadsheetApp.getUi();
        // Do the rest of your stuff here

Any of those help Nils gave you correct answer to check matplotlib documentation
Dummy data
code :
import pandas as pd
import numpy as np
from matplotlib import pyplot as plt

series1 = pd.Series(np.random.rand(20))
series2 = pd.Series(np.random.rand(20)+0.3)
plt.fill_between(series1.index, series1, series2, where=series2>=series1, facecolor='green', alpha=0.5, interpolate=True)
plt.fill_between(series1.index, series2, series1, where=series2<=series1, facecolor='red', alpha=0.5, interpolate=True)
