How to inherit from GObject class?

How to inherit from GObject class?

I hope this helps . GtkCellRendererText requires string (gchararray) data for its text property, and it is receiving custom GObject values. The __str__ function works on the Python level and is never invoked by GObject.
Fortunately, what you want to achieve doesn't require subclassing GObject. You need to do the following:

wish of those help Have A inherit from B. Then A has all of B's properties automatically. Don't use properties in A, but instead pass B's properties (or even better, an already-constructed B object) as parameters to A's constructor. Delay construction of B until A can figure out how it nees to configure B. Add a private flag to A, b_initialized or something, that tells you whether A's internal pointer to B is valid.
Some more clarification on the second suggestion:
code :
A *a_new()
    return (A *)g_object_new(TYPE_A, NULL);
A *a_new(int b_param_1, int b_param_2)
    A *a = (A *)g_object_new(TYPE_A, NULL);
    a->priv->b = b_new(b_param_1, b_param_2);
    return a;

around this issue I am trying to create a flume-thrift client in c (c_glib) but have trouble creating the gobject that shall be sent to the server. I get the following error at the line in main.c: , This was the solution to the problem:
code :
ThriftFlumeEvent *event = g_object_new(TYPE_THRIFT_FLUME_EVENT, 0);
event->timestamp = (gint64)t_stamp.tv_sec * 1000;
event->__isset_timestamp = TRUE;
event->priority = priority;
event->__isset_priority = TRUE;

In case someone starts the same was as I am this question would be helpfull. Try to look at wkPython, for example this post.

hope this fix your issue Your class D contains two A objects - the one inherited by B and the one inherited by C
When you call C::test() you change the A object in C.
Can a GObject signal return a non-gobject object?

Can a GObject signal return a non-gobject object?

Hope that helps Yes, it can be included as one of the later arguments. The first argument in the signal callback is always the object which is emitting the signal (which has to be a GObject, otherwise it can’t be emitting a GObject signal).
Without a concrete example of your code, or what’s not working for you, it’s hard to answer in any more detail.
