Onmouseover/out deactivate and reactivate in jQuery

Onmouseover/out deactivate and reactivate in jQuery

around this issue
It would be a lot easier if the :hover parameter in the CSS could change both the color of the .png and the border, however i've been searching alot for this specific solution, and it doesnt seem to be available!
code :
.searchbox {
    background: url('magnifier.png') 0px 0px;
}

.searchbox:hover {
    background: url('magnifier.png') 0px -25px;
}

jQuery UI Accordion - reactivate default active element on mouseout

jQuery UI Accordion - reactivate default active element on mouseout

Does that help Note the difference between "mouseout" and "mouseleave" and between setting the "active"-option of the accordion and activating a content part! The right js-code should be:
code :
$("#accordion").accordion({
    event: "mouseover",
    active: "#item-1",
    collapsible: false
}).mouseleave(function() {
    $(this).accordion('activate', "#item-1");
});
Deactivate mouseenter event then reactivate once animations have finished

Deactivate mouseenter event then reactivate once animations have finished

I wish this help you I have the following code which executes some animations etc. when the user hovers over an element, however if they "enter" and "leave" the element with the mouse rapidly and repeatedly it messes up the animations. How can I deactive the mousenter event and then reactivate it once animations have finished? , Change the timer to whatever timespan you want
code :
var mouseEntered = false;

$(".women .text").on("mouseenter", function(event) {
            event.preventDefault();

            if(mouseEntered == false)
            {
                mouseEntered = true;
                $( ".men .intro" ).hide();
                $('.women').delay(300).animate({width:"80%"});
                $('.men').delay(300).animate({width:"20%"});
                $('.men').animate({opacity: 0.5}, 500);
                $('.women').animate({opacity: 1}, 500);
                $( ".women .intro" ).delay(600).fadeIn(300);
                window.setTimeout(function() {
                    mouseEntered = false;
                }, 1000);
            }
        });

should help you out You have a scope issue. Within the body of your function, replace var intervalId with intervalId:
code :
$(function() {
    $('.leftImgNav').click(function() {
        clearInterval(intervalId);
        getNxtOrPrevImg("p");
        intervalId = setInterval('chgImgs("#photcont")', 6000);
    });

    $('.rightImgNav').click(function() {
        clearInterval(intervalId);
        getNxtOrPrevImg("n");
        intervalId = setInterval('chgImgs("#photcont")', 6000);
    });
});

like below fixes the issue If by "deactivate and reactivate" you mean prevent the user from signing in. This is currently only possible for local accounts (not accounts from social providers: Facebook, Google, etc).
You can achieve this by either:
click button to reactivate autohidden-div not working, fiddle Jquery

Does that help I want a panel to show up for five seconds after a button is clicked.... , You are overcomplicating it. Just show/extend time in one go
code :
let panel = $('.Panel'),
    panelTimer;

function showAndExtendPanel(){
  panel.stop(true,true).show();
  clearTimeout(panelTimer);
  panelTimer = setTimeout(killPanel, 5000)
}

function killPanel(){
  panel.fadeOut();
}

$('.ShowPanel5Seconds, .Panel').on("click", showAndExtendPanel);
.Panel {
  display: none;
  background: red;
  height: 100px;
  width: 50px;
}
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.0/jquery.min.js"></script>

<button class="ShowPanel5Seconds">Show Panel 5 seconds</button>

<div class="Panel">I'm the panel...click me to continue living</div>
