hop of those help? Inline namespace scoped variables have static storage duration (internal linking). So declaring
code :
extern int x;

it should still fix some issue Ahh well I found the cause eventually.
I'm working against a very large third party WCF API and ... one of their namespaces is LameCompany.System (!!) Carnage then ensues...

should help you out Assume the following code: , GCC is correct:
Cannot resolve ambiguous reference

it fixes the issue This may be a case of needing extern alias. The error is occuring because you have 3 assemblies (.dlls), that all contain the same class in the same namespace.
In VS, select your reference that you want to use (Can be any of the 3), and give it an alias:
code :
extern alias MyAlias;
using ItemEvents_10_Event = MyAlias::Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.ItemEvents_10_Event;

wish of those help Note that the error is not related to generics, you get the same result if you use interfaces and a type is the intersection:

Any of those help Resharper is buggy here IMHO. The problem can be solved by clearing the caches of ReSharper (ReSharper > Options > General > Clear Caches), then restarting VS and build again. The message should disappear then. I know, that this isn't a solution really but it works.
