Does that help My guess-timate is that it's probably a 60/40 split in favor of web development. But I think a more interesting trend is that both the web and windows camps are seeing significant schisms.
Windows definitely is definitely splitting along the WPF and non-WPF lines, since WPF presents such a different UI model. WPF is still a small percentage of Windows developers, but it's definitely gaining some ground. I'd guess that WPF probably only makes up 10-20 percent of Windows development.

this one helps. I think Eclipse has different flavors, so pick the one that works for you. Java EE includes the servlet/JSP piece you need. I'd go with that.

I hope this helps . I can't really speak to the merits of the methods described in your post, but I can describe how we solved collaborative coding in the workflow we use at work.
The workflow we use is one of many branches. Our structure is thus:

Hope this helps That Q from the FAQ is a bit outdated. The project stopped using thrift more than two years ago! Currently, the media server offers a websocket connection that can be used to control the KMS. The signaling protocol is a JSON-RPC-based protocol. This implies that whatever language you are using, if you can connect to a websocket and push some strings through it, you'll be able to control the media server.
Nevertheless, for convenience and commodity, the project offers implementations of this protocol in Java and JavaScript so you can create different application: JavaScript browser client, Java server app or Node.js server app. There are examples of these applications in the official github repository.

I hope this helps you . Check out funkload - it's a way of running your unit tests as either functional or load tests to gauge how well your site is performing.
Another interesting project which can be used in conjunction with funkload is codespeed. This is an internal dashboard that measures the "speed" of your codebase for every commit you make to your code, presenting graphs with trends over time. This assumes you have a number of automatic benchmarks you can run - but it could be a useful way to have an authoritative account of performance over time. The best use of codespeed I've seen so far is the speed.pypy.org site.
