I wish this help you You would use data attributes.
So for example:
code :
<div id="id1" data-description="description 1" data-cost="23"
     data-owner="me" data-date_of_purchase="1-1-2014"> first purchase </div>

wish help you to fix your issue You will have a very difficult time with this, for a few reasons:
Most things that can be accomplished with CSS can't be done with HTML attributes. To deal with this you'd either have to ignore or attempt to compensate for things like margins and padding, etc... Many things that correspond between HTML attributes and CSS actually behave slightly differently, and you will need to account for this. To deal with this you would have to write specific code for each difference... Because of the way CSS rules are applied, you basically need to use a complete CSS engine to parse and apply all of the rules before you will know what needs to be done at the element/attribute level. To deal with this you could just ignore anything except inline styles, but...
code :
$line =~ /style=\"(.+?)\"/i;
next unless ($line =~ /style=\"(.+?)\"/i);
my $newguts;
foreach my $style (split(/;/,$guts)) {
    my ($name, $value) = split(/:/,$style);
    $newguts .= "$name='$value' ";
}
$line =~ s/style=\"$guts\"/$newguts/i;

should help you out For this type of thing, I'd recommend an HTML parser (like BeautifulSoup or lxml) in conjunction with a specialized CSS parser. I've had success with the cssutils package. You'll have a much easier time than trying to come up with regular expressions to match any possible CSS you might find in the wild.
For example:
code :
>>> import cssutils
>>> css = 'width:150px;height:50px;float:right;'
>>> s = cssutils.parseStyle(css)
>>> s.width
u'150px'
>>> s.height
u'50px'
>>> s.keys()
[u'width', u'height', u'float']
>>> s.cssText
u'width: 150px;\nheight: 50px;\nfloat: right'
>>> del s['width']
>>> s.cssText
u'height: 50px;\nfloat: right'

fixed the issue. Will look into that further I think the problem is that you are using "=" in your replace method, when in your input it has ":".
Try this:
code :
    for(String s1 : attributes){
        htmlfile = htmlfile.replaceAll(s1.toUpperCase() + ":", s1 + ":");
    }

This might help you You can use DOMDocument to get at the attributes:
code :
$html = '<li data-docid="thisisthevaluetoget" class="search-results-item"></li>';
$doc = new DOMDocument;
$doc->loadHTML($html);
$nodes = $doc->getElementsByTagName('li');
foreach ($nodes as $node) {
    if ($node->hasAttributes()) {
        foreach ($node->attributes as $a) {
            echo $a->nodeName.': '.$a->nodeValue.'<br/>';
        }
    }
}

I wish this help you I need to transform a div-based XHTML layout into a table based layout using XSLT 1.0. For the basic transformation, I have a stylesheet (below) that creates the table structure just fine. , This XSLT 1.0 style-sheet...
code :
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:output method="html" indent="yes"/>
<xsl:strip-space elements="*" />

<xsl:template match="@*|node()">
    <xsl:copy>
        <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/>
    </xsl:copy>
</xsl:template>

  <xsl:template match="div[starts-with(@class, 'table ')]">
    <table>
        <xsl:call-template name="extract-class">
          <xsl:with-param name="class-list" select="normalize-space( substring-after(@class,'table '))" />
        </xsl:call-template>
        <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/>
    </table>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:template match="div[starts-with(@class, 'tr ')]">
    <tr>
        <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/>
    </tr>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:template match="div[starts-with(@class, 'td ')]">
    <td>
        <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/>
    </td>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:template name="extract-class">
  <xsl:param name="class-list" />
  <xsl:if test="contains($class-list,'-')">
    <xsl:variable name="name-value" select="substring-before(concat($class-list,' '),' ')" />
    <xsl:attribute name="{substring-before($name-value,'-')}">
      <xsl:value-of select="substring-after($name-value,'-')" />
    </xsl:attribute>
    <xsl:call-template name="extract-class">
      <xsl:with-param name="class-list" select="normalize-space(substring-after($class-list,' '))" />
    </xsl:call-template>
  </xsl:if>
</xsl:template>

</xsl:stylesheet>
<div class="table align-center border-1 cellspacing-5">
    <div class="tr">
        <div class="td"><p>Table Cell 1</p></div>
        <div class="td"><p>Table Cell 2</p></div>
