I think the issue was by ths following , I got it using Flexbox. Initially i didn't get using flex box as I need to support in IE 10. By adding additional vendor prefixes, i am able to meet the given requirement.

I hope this helps you . Why not just float the elements like here on your demo
code :
    .style("width", 500)
function wordCloud(){
    var wC = {};

    .attr("width", 50)
    .attr("height", 50).append("circle").attr("cx", 25).attr("cy", 25).attr("r", 25).style("fill", "purple");
    return wC;
Positioning multiple fixed sticky elements with Waypoints

will help you For anyone else struggling with this, I ended up dynamically writing the CSS when the sticky element's class is initiated and inserting it into the head:
code :
var sticky = new Waypoint.Sticky({
        element: $('#stick-this')[0],
        offset: $('.header').outerHeight(true),
        handler: function(direction) {
            .prop("type", "text/css")
            .stuck {\
                position: fixed;\
                top:" + $(".header").height() + "px;\

hop of those help? Using absolute positioning for things like this is just bad practice, it makes everything harder. The easiest thing you could do is to just float .industryinnerright right, like:
code :
.industryoutter {
  position: relative;
  background-color: #c0c0c0;
  width: 210px;
  overflow: hidden;
.industryinnerright {
  float: right
<div class="industryoutter">
  Agricultural Chemicals
  <span class="industryinnerright">C</span>
<div class="industryoutter">
  Agricultural Chemicals
  <span class="industryinnerright">C</span>
Trying to get multiple elements to load with random positioning

Trying to get multiple elements to load with random positioning

I hope this helps you . You almost had it. In your for loop you operate on the entire HTMLCollection rpos rather than each seperate element. For example what this line rpos.setAttribute("style", "position:absolute;"); does is run setAttribute for this collection of elements, rather than for each element in this collection we should run setAttribute. With a small adjustment you get this:
code :
function getRandomPosition(element) {
  var x = document.body.offsetHeight - element.clientHeight;
  var y = document.body.offsetWidth - element.clientWidth;
  var randomX = Math.floor(Math.random() * x);
  var randomY = Math.floor(Math.random() * y);
  return [randomX, randomY];

window.onload = function() {
  const rpos = document.getElementsByClassName("rando");
  for (let rpo of rpos) {
    rpo.setAttribute("style", "position:absolute;");
    var xy = getRandomPosition(rpo);
    rpo.style.top = xy[0] + "px";
    rpo.style.left = xy[1] + "px";
<div id="1" class="rando">
     <img src="someIMG" alt="logo" itemprop="image">

<div id="2" class="rando">
    <iframe width="200" height="250" src="someURL" frameborder="0" ></iframe>

<p class="rando">Test A</p>
<p class="rando">Test B</p>
<p class="rando">Test C</p>
